VS-1616AD 16 x 16 Serial Digital Audio Matrix 

The Kramer VS-1616AD is an adjustment-free, cable-equalized, reclocking, multi-standard 16x16 digital audio matrix. It provides automatic equalization for losses on 110§Ù twisted pair cable and reclocks each output to provide 16 low-jitter digital outputs. It supports AES/EBU, IEC 958, S/PDIF and EIAJ CP340/1201 professional and consumer formats with sampling frequencies up to 96 kHz. All inputs and outputs are transformer coupled - supporting 110§Ù twisted pair cable on detachable terminal block connectors. The VS-1616AD is controlled via the front-panel touch switches, via their serial RS-232 and RS-485 ports (with either hexadecimal or ASCII codes), via external dry-contact pushbuttons, and via IR remote. The user-friendly LCD display makes operation even easier, and 16 preset memory locations are provided for quick access to the most frequently used configurations. The unit includes Windows 95/98/2000/NT¢â based control software. The VS-1616AD may be used as a single unit, or it can be expanded up to 96 x 96 inputs/outputs. It can be configured into a Kramer multi-signal switcher system including digital and analog video, digital and analog audio, and RS-422 control switchers. When integrated in a system, all units switch in true audio-follow-video mode.
